The Gamification of Marketing and Business Development

iPhone Screenshot 1The Era of Screens, smartphone apps, and a desire to engage the digital generation have converged at the Apple's App Store.  Several companies are discovering that games can be one of the best ways to engage the digital generation.  Utilities, for example, are using games to make customers more comfortable using technology such as smart meters. It is increasingly important to recognize that some portions of your employees, clients, and stakeholders grew up on games - - games and competition are largely what drives them as a generation.  From fracking to stormwater sustainability to traffic management - - engineers need to understand that even if you are in a serious business, it's still OK to have fun.  People want to learn about the key issues in your industry or to better understand your products or services - - game Apps can be an effective teaching/marketing tool.

Check out Bit Tracker by Baker Hughes.  They plan to list three additional games on the App Store by the end of the year.
