Are Engineers Above Average Because Mom and Dad Were Above Average?

Very interesting - engineers have the same "family growing up" income as CEOs (65th percentile).  Also, engineering is a solid career force for economic mobility - - you start out in the 65th percentile and end up in the 80th percentile.  But nothing produces greater economic mobility than writing speeding tickets - - start in the 45th and end up in the 75th.  And don't become a librarian!!!!
